They Are Having A Laugh!

Recommended Posts

Just noticed this posted on a board I am registered too.

Any takers only 3 - 4 hours so if it takes you an hour to get there then 30 mins to set up then 30 mins to pack down and another hour to get home you will only be able to perform for one hour. Have I got that right thats 4 hours work....... Oh and no prep or anything or paper work etc...

My god where do we start to educate people..

Good old personal play lists!

I did a wedding last year and they wanted just dance music! i looked at the crowed and thought "this is never going to work" but i stuck to the play list and the complaints started and people were complaining to the bride and groom after a couple of hours of this they gave in and gave me control of the music. and it turned into a great night.

people love to party to cheese! its a wedding 99.9% of the time there is a huge range of people. If people just thought for a second "gran might not want dance music etc... so lets have a good mix of tunes" instead of the attitude "i like it so they will like it"

oh well we dont live in a perfect world!

Come off it! There's no such thing as a "non-cheesy" wedding DJ is there? Sure there are non-cheesy DJs, but I'm sure they'll have a pretty short lived career doing weddings!

i can honestly say i have never done a wedding were cheese hasn't been played. it just works and 9 times out of 10 i get asked for some!

I guess it depends how you define cheese. I find most people specifically ask to not have action dances and YMCA etc. at their Wedding, but still want the Abba, BeeGees, Wham type cheese.
