DJ Barney 0
Whats your take on sending newsletters to past and present customers? Any suggestions for articles would be really good! vokf 0
Whats your take on sending newsletters to past and present customers? Any suggestions for articles would be really good! Cheers What are you thoughts on this? Do you have any articles to share? My take; Unless you do a lot of corporate work, it'll be a waste of time and money - and will annoy clients. Would YOU really like to receive mailings from the DJ that did your 21st??? I wouldn't! A simple "thank-you for booking us" email/letter is good practice, and there is no need to contact them again. Norfolk DJ 0
I can't see much point in this. What are the articles going to be about? The latest wedding trends? Your equipment purchases and technical specs. What you enjoying eating on the way home? :mcps: Only of serious use to an agent or roadshow use specialises in corporates. Kingy 0
I wouldn't do this. I get enough junk already without Harris' latest ramblings landing on my doormat every week.
andyw 0
i think you would be wasting your time and money on this.they already know you exist,if you done a good job at there event they will come back to you when they have another party planned if you didn't they will go somewhere else.do you really think anyone would be really interested in what you've been upto in the last 3 months(us on here might but the person you done a party for 2 yrs ago wouldnt give a toss and would just bin it as junk mail without even loooking at it) better spend that time and money on targeting new clients
Danno13 0
I've been toying with this idea as well, I sent a Merry Christmas email to every client this year with a disclaimer saying to email back if they wanted to be removed for my mailing list, but no one did. I can see it being more useful for sending to venues, so I'm gradually building up a list of contacts for those too.. you never know when the email might land in their box just as they have an emergency! Big B 0
If you have a website why not put a form on there asking people to fill it in if they want to be kept up to date. Just sending out things could be classed as spam Big B's Mobile Disco Crystal Wedding Fayres info@bigbdisco.co.uk 08445 040 841(option 2) 07547 686920
mattmcc 0
To send them regular updates with what you are doing probably wont work. However, you could consider doing basic Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and do things like send them an email on their anniversary or birthday. I'm a bit of a cynic about these things but when I recently got a few emails when it was my birthday I noticed them, even though I knew it was an automatic message. ________ Matt McC
