I bought one of these ACME Invincibled.

Mine is the 3W version. You'll also find an ACME 10W variation which also sells as an American DJ (ADJ) tri-phase led (10W only). Check Youtube for clips of the lights in action and to see them taken apart to explain how the effect is created. The guys doing that stuff can offer a much better review than I.

Basically its one led divided into three parts one Red ®, one Green (G) and one Blue (B). Each segment can light on it's own or combined with the others to give a selection of colors. It shines on to a selection of mirrors and then through a number of lenses

Have used it twice now. I like it.

#Coverage is good. I'm using it on the ceiling during uptempo sets. It fills them well, the higher the ceiling the better it looked.

#Colors looked good on the white ceilings both venues had. The higher ceiling gave the RGB a better chance to combine. I could clearly see RGB plus Purple and Amber. Also dots half and half RGB. No white though (?)

#The unit is very light weight and compact (approx half the size of my REVO3).

#On sound to light the response is smooth.

#The ACME doesn't have the plastic on the outer casing as does the ADJ. Other than that it looks the same.

My only minor dislike is that mine has those dip switches. I'm not sure whats on the back of the 10W ACME but the ADJ has a LED control display.

I went with the 3W version as I just wanted a unit to provide an effect over not light the dancing area I used an ADJ Mega panel for that. If you wanted to light a dance floor/room with them I'd look at the 10W. It's twice the price but I can't tell you if it's really three and a bit times brighter.

I have seen two linked master and slave on Youtube I think it looked well.

It's a cheap and cheerful effect. How will it handle a couple of nights a week over a period of time?

I'll let you know.
