DiscoandKaraoke 0
25th birthday for me on Saturday. Quite a clubby request list, which is fine except that it includes drum and bass. That kind of :poo: usually only gets requested at 16th/18ths, so quite unusual.

djgb 0
Had another 18th in a small venue. A good night tbh but since it was a small place, and I mean small think the size of a fairly lge living room and your nearly there, things did get a little worrying at one point when I had 50+ teens bouncing up and down. !!!!!!!!!!! :fear: In a confined area things got a little bit too cosy shall we say LOL :fright: . Had to put on leona - RUN to calm them down a little and clear some space !!!!!! :moon: But a good night in a new venue and should get some more custom from there aswell. What did happen tho. was because it was an old building the bass was shaking the floor boards above causing LIME and CEMENT to fall down onto me and the equipment. Thought is was snowing LOL :snow: But I think Ive managed to get all the dust out of the cd cases and mixer case now

aaadisco 0
My 18th party went well on Sat! Around 150 people but luckily lots of family no just 150 17-18 year olds :-) As usual found the classic floorfillers went down best. Played rnb, chart stuff at the begining which entertained the younger crowd but when I played the floorfillers, everyone joined in. Played a 40 min set of 90s Club tunes which went down really well - the usual suscpects show me luv, the bomb, dreamer, u sure do etc... Thought I would take a risk and dropped M Beat and General Levy - Wicked which went down well, followed by shy fx shake your body and then high contrast racing green. (a couple of great unoffensive drum and base tunes which worked well!) This was my first do this year so I'm very happy. Jan and Feb were dead for me after a busy xmas but getting very busy from April now luckily! 4zzz 0
Trying to post a couple of pics from weekend but hey how do you do it? Probably being thick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone give me a clue please Katy Perry - I kissed a Girl. That should get things going. Good choice Final outcome great night good crowd. Got to play some old reggae and island music first hour Thought they might be swingers but there was no bowl for the keys in sight. Stripper good Tranny parade good fun blokes as women and women as tarts. They were all bouncing by the end of the night as had a full time barman making margaretas all night. Tequila allways makes way for a good party. One bad note the fun police came around after noise complaints so had to go very low volume last hour. Made it till 1 am without getting shut down. Oh forgot the wife bottled out of the lesbian thing last minute. Oh well theres allways next week

(a couple of great unoffensive drum and base tunes which worked well!) I'm finding 90's tunes are working very well at the moment. There tends to be a lot of CD's released with older classic tracks on, so I think that is doing it. I have a 30th in a couple of weeks time, so I will be playing a fair bit of this. Re: the Drum and Bass, I have been dying to play some for ages and I have a 21st in 3 weeks time. It may be time to experiment. I was also going to throw in Shy FX - Everyday and bit of Pendulum too. ---------------------------- Thanks ... Dave Wired For Sound Discos
