Gazz 0 Posted April 17, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2009 A small downside I admit, I only have 1 T-Max and it gets boaring after a while although I can only do what my money allows me at the moment. :p Also as it was people my age it was mostly HardCore music and the stobe went perfect with the smoke machine, although that ran out near the end. XD I am doing the same house tonight, I just bought another litre of fluid. :p Next month is my birthday, I plan on buying my own speakers and hopefully more lighting effects, I used the speakers at my friends house for the party above. Although everyone stated they enjoyed the night, which was a real compliment and I also got offered a 3 day gig offer with accomidation, although I don't feel experienced enough for that. :p Signature edited. vokf 0 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Share Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) HI Gazz, One tip I'll pass on is to try and keep the cables tidy -esp on the lighting. I see the std 4-way block that the lights are plugged into. If you can fit an IEC PLUG to your lights, you can get IEC splitters for a few quid. You can then run a single cable up your t-bar, with both lights plugged into the splitter. Get some velcro from B&Q/Homebase/Ebay and use that to strap the cables down, and it'll look much neater- with less chance of hanging yourself from those drooping cables. (and therrefore less chance of damaging your kit, and possibly ending the night early) Anyway - keep it up, it looks a good party! One thing I try never to do is answer or call on my mobile when I'm working.When you get up to 40 quid an hour there maybe someone viscious in the audience who drops you in it!!Thats assuming youre not charging 40 quid an hour already!! 15 and the futures bright... .I'd be a very rich man if I started at that age!! Dream Catchers 0 Posted April 18, 2009 Report Share Posted April 18, 2009 I think I probably used a radiogram for my first gig LOL Well done Gazz, I think the first gigs are the hardest and also they take a lot of bottle, add to that your willingness to share it with you peers is a credit to you. As has already been said, try to tidy the cables, it will make it safer and also improve the impression that you make. I also noted a can of ale at the side of you, I think it goes down better if you aren't seen to be drinking, although with house parties you tend to be a guest too so maybe it's ok. :Thumbup: Jim Link to post Share on other sites
