Weekend 22nd To The 24th

Recommended Posts

song to play at some point has to be...................Stevie Wonder - Signed Sealed & Delivered

Friday (last night) was a 30th Birthday with fancy dress. 100+ invited....25 turned up so it was a nightmare from a dj's point of view. No atmosphere with very few dancers. Bon Jovi got the biggest hit with 6 closely follwed by Bryan Adams with 5. Love Shack got 2 women up 30 seconds before the track ended then they gave me a dirty look saying they wanted to dance to that. ?????

Saturday - Pub Karaoke

Sunday - Christening - 6 hours of background music no lights no dancing quiet music

Nothing this weekend, but I have my children over.

I've received booking fee for NYE 09, sodding HSBC was closed so I have to use up my lunch hour to pay it in on Tuesday :damn:

Just taught Kay the basics of beat matching, and she's now trying to find lots of 125bpm tracks. She's getting the hang of jogging the beats in phase, which is pretty neat.

One problem with the DDS is that is doesn't currently allow range searching by BPM (I've heard the next firmware update will fix that)

I've told them both that they need to learn to DJ before NYE so Daddy can doesn't have to work to hard. :joe: Worryingly, Ryan is pretty up for it, and actually played Signed Sealed Delivered last night!!!

So, a musical Day with a BBQ later.

So, to answer Dave's signature question- Sausages!

Hope everyone has a good one!

Was looking forward to a night off last night so I could spend a few hours working on my ID tags on the MP3s on my hard drive (how you getting on with that Jim?). Got a phone call at around 6pm and the hotel where I have my Saturday night residency had taken a booking for an 18th birthday party in one of the function rooms but hadn't bothered to arrange a DJ. I said I would cover even though the money was terrible. Anyway, long story short, there was a poor turnout and therefore no real atmosphere and not much dancing.

Tonight - residency, which is terrible.

I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. Including club residencies, karaoke, pub quizzes, specialised wedding service, Master of Ceremonies, Compere, Night at the Races and much more.

Marquee wedding for me this Saturday, on after a 'barn' dance / folk dancing caller type chap. :cow: :shaun:

He's always good at warming the crowd up and getting them up dancing so that part of the night will already have been done for a change.

home in the daylight.

I too made it home in the daylight - Except the sun was setting not rising

Ingredients for a pub karaoke - Dj, Equipment, Alcohol & Customers.

Guess which was the missing ingredient there.
