I've a kids party on Friday afternoon, a fund raiser so not a big earner, but only 2hrs and with 100 kids. Home by 8pm.

I doubt I'll be playing Tarzan Boy.. Good track though!!

Sunday, I'm off to Abu Dhabi for day job, so can't do much Saturday night anyway (I've seen a gig on GoodParty in Southend), I've a 5am depart from home :damn:

Saturday evening I'm doing a 70's disco for the Horndon On The Hill Feast and Fayre - strictly 70's so can't play Tarzan Boy there, although I doubt anyone would notice if I did :)

Sunday sort of double booked. Forgot parents are having a party and took a booking for a 13th Party.

On the way to Saturdays function I've got to call into parents to help set up the marquee etc. Sunday will be at parents but will leave them to go to the 13th Party in the evening.

I played it last night and it went down a storm. Think I might go for a 4-timer this weekend as well.

Last nights gig was a really good gig, enjoyed every minute of it.

It was sweltering hot though.

I am sure I wasn't the only DJ out last night where every other request was for a Michael Jackson track, the group did a few MJ songs too.

I expect it will be similar tonight, and quite possibly for the foreseeable future too.

Yesterdays gig was good. Nightmare getting there - it was for a Prep School in Kensington - not the best place to get to on a friday afternoon.

There were 100+ girls, and a good qty of teachers to keep them in line.

I took Mackie450s on Stands - no subs, and 2 t-bars with mainly LED lighting.

Power was either side of my set-up, so speakers and lighting had their own sockets, with main rig powered from socket behind me, Perfik!

The teachers had rehearsed a dance to "hot n cold", and this went down very well with the girls.

I got lots of requests for "Thriller", and when announced and then played the place went mad - teachers doing the zombie dance and kids trying to moonwalk.

I must admit, it was pretty touching to see everybody up, going mad for this song!

I was offered a tip- but it was a fund-raiser, so I declined (I charged a fair rate for the 2hr party).

The LEDs filled the hall, with the mackies doing a good job. I missed the subs - but when I nipped to the car to get some water (mid-song), I could hear it sounded good.
