Wedding tomorrow with a singer. Have asked him to contact me to discuss setting up but haven't heard from him yet so if there isn't enough room for his set up, tough :D All I've been told is that he doesn't have much gear.

It's Kids R Us for me this weekend....

Thursday - End of year Disco at the local School - Went very well, even the head teacher was dancing!

Friday - Just got back from doing a 13th Birthday Disco - It went very well and the parents were very happy however it was the most difficult kids disco i have done,

I have some Virus and feel terrible - I had to bring my nephew along as backup (just in case my head exploded)

(i had to pay him as well :( )

The end was a bit terrible - The birthday boy wanted Linkin Park - "Crawling" as the last song!

All other 39 kids (who were all R&B'd up) did not have a clue what was going on and looked scared!

Saturday - Kids 6yr old Disco

oohh

All I can say is last night was an absolutely fantastic gig. Set up space was a bit restricted so the tribute act plugged his mixer into mine and used my sound system. He was a rat pack singer and his wife helped him set up and took a few pictures. They were a really nice couple and one of the best singers I have heard. He was simply fantastic. He done the first hour and got everyone warmed up and raring to go. I was a bit nervous following on from such a top class act but everything went fine with dancers on the floor all night.

I was sitting down while he was singing but got pulled onto the dance floor by a young lady amidst my protests that I wasn't a guest and shouldn't really be joining in on the dance floor but she was too persistent and wouldn't take no for an answer.

The bride looked totally stunning and was really nice too. Evening just went too quickly. The disco was in a different room to where they had the meal and I half expected to struggle to get people to leave the comfort of their seats in the other room but there was no such problem. Just wish I took my camera :(

I too had a cracker last night. 30th birthday which i knew very little about as the venue had organised it last minute. Turned out to be fancy dress with a stripper. I couldn't play a bad song as they were up for it. The floor was bouncing all night with tunes from the drifters to the prodigy to kylie's locomotion. Got a standing ovation and was met with the entire venue screaming 'one more tune'

Even got dragged to the floor myself during darude's sandstorm. Anything to keep the crowd happy i say!
