stoke53 0
Ill reserve my judgement on it until ive seen one in the flesh. The company videos are filmed in pitch black rooms thats why they look so good. It looks good on the video. Alan STROBE DISCO SHOW 01782 713277 07802 489555
deejaymitch 0
Looks fantastic. I've been totally won over by American DJ and American Audio lately, and this looks like another quality product. McCardle 1
Are you thinking of buying one Mitch? "The voice of the devil is heard in our land" 'War doesn't determine who is right, war determines who is left, and you wont win this war.'
deejaymitch 0
Are you thinking of buying one Mitch? Believe me, I'm toying with the idea. I'm a nightmare for impulse purchases, especially since I went part-time again. Having a regular monthly wage coming in from my day job means I spend a few days every month resisting the urge to buy a new 'toy' that I can really do without. I rarely win that battle unfortunately. I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. McCardle 1
Believe me, I'm toying with the idea Great! I'm thinking...... lighting effect set up at gig + digital camera taking pictures, following day pictures are uploaded to DJU giving potential other DJs thinking of buying said effect a chance to see what they are like in real life DJ situations when they aren't dressed up by the manufacturer in their Sunday best  . I'm also thinking you might be kind enough to take some photos of LED and Halogen effect in use side by side to identify whether there is a distinct difference between the brightness of halogen and LED and on this basis some of us may decide that we would be better saving our money and sticking with old fashioned hally's :ads: . So on a purely selfish basis, I agree, you definitely deserve more toys to play with Uncharted territory this - LED vs Halogen running on the same rig, dontcha know! :ads: :scared: will you be brave enough to accept the challange? Dukesy 0
I've never seen the lighting compared. Not once. Not one youtube video... And there was me convinced that there were multi ops and hire services out there with lots of kit! LOL! :funjokeandlaugh:

bigMCben 0
Was speaking to a retailer about availability and he said to hold off until next weekks show because there are a number of other suppliers bringing out similar products. Does anyone have details of these?
stoke53 0
You really need to see them before you buy one because the acme similar one is very dissapointing 3watt leds are only bright if you use them in total dark rooms thats why the videos look good. Paul What about the Acme Genesis scanners (not the moving heads)? They're promoted as being very bright and they have gobos.

They are as bright as a 250w halogen, but look at the price of them!! Once you move into moving heads (forgive the pun) then Discharge lamps are in my opinion the only way to go.
