Weekend 20th - 22nd

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Hope you are well and looking forward to the silly month.

Coming to the end of the weddings this weekend for me.

Friday Wedding in York

Saturday Wedding in London

Sunday afternoon couple of hours playing at a christening in Birmingham and then burn down the M5 to Exeter for another wedding gig.

The last gig for me is rapidly approaching.

After a lot of soul searching, New Years Eve is the last gig ever for me. Been at it for 23 years and need to move on and do something else.

So January will be a case of Ebay here I come.

End of a era Dave. I bet you will miss the travelling, late nights, hostile crowds, heavy lifting......etc etc.

Just a wedding on friday night for me, not far to go but the route is a bit rural. stacks of work to do at home getting ready for the builders decending.

Take care travelling folks and have a good weekend

Songs to play

Crowded House - Weather With You

Nothing here for me. However, its my sons 10th birthday and Carmens 44th (lol) birthday.

This week I've had an emergency trip overseas, so currently knackered.

Hope everyone has a good one!

I have a relaxing weekend ahead. Just got a 3 hour set at a mates pub on Sunday evening. Time to relax and catch up on some sleep me thinks, before the Xmas rush starts.

Enjoy your weekend everywhere, whatever your plans, and worklaod is.

Cheers,

Wayne

Gig Report from friday night.

1. van broke down on way to gig (had to blag my dads van in a hurry) no profit again - new brake calliper needed :(

2. good access friendly staff and 11.30 finish :D

3. £2 for a bottle of coke :(

4. woman fell over dancing and bared all - no underwear and very large top half fell out getting up :D

Its strange how some off the wall tune is a favourite as some gigs. Journey - Don't stop believing was played 3 times and sung once after shutdown. They were mad for it.

And.........Musical Youth - Pass the Duchie........ bet you never have that on your setlist.

Journey - Don't Stop Believing is the most requested track I've played in the last few weeks...

Its been a weird couple of weeks. Done acouple of gigs, and mainly played 60's - 90's in both. Most requested track over the 2 weeks, Billy Idol - White Wedding.

Most sung track on Karaoke over 2 weeks - The Contours - Do you Love me. (Strange, not alot of people sing this usually).

What an excellent couple of weeks, only 1 coming up this weekend, so time to have a sort out of my cd's and mp3's, ready for the xmas rush.

Enjoy all. And Merry Christmas to one and all.

:D

Lol

I believe it was sung on X factor recently by a lad from oop North.

Nice voice IMO.
