deejaymitch 0
OK so 2009 is nearly over, and it hasn't been great musically. But amongst all the dross there have been a few gems. What has been your favourite new song of 2009? If you need inspiration you can view all the Singles charts this year on this forum. I'll kick things off, the one that really stands out for me is Knock You Down - Keri Hilson ft Ne-yo & Kanye West. Wayne 74 0
:hphone: mmmmmmm, now thats a tough one. There has been quite a few contenders. I think for me, it would have to be David Guetta ft Akon - Sexy Chick (but we all know the correct name of the song). lol :thanks: Wayne

bigMCben 0
The title of the post is a bit vague, best song for me personally, best song to dance to, best song to get them up dancing or just the best song full stop? I think the best song for playing at a disco for 2009 has to be Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling as this appealed to all ages and all functions, from pubs to weddings to birthdays. From a personal point of view the best cover was Saturdays - I Just Can't Get Enough, best remix was Tinchy Stryder - No1 (Bimbo Jones Remix) and my bestest song for the year was Chipmunk - Oopsy Daisy
Dukesy 0
Best original song for me this year was Paloma Faith: 'New York'. I especially find one of the remixes of this track rather catchy and in the spirit of disco! However, it only just beat La Roux in my book, a clever song. Most requested track- Bad Boys. I can't remember how many times I was asked to play this! Sound-A-Like track for me this year is the Will Young: 'Hopes & Fears', played to death on R2. Boy, does he sound a bit like Annie Lennox! :karen:

Kev.Roadies Disco 0
From a disco point of view I'd weigh in with: I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas (easily No.1 request) Boys and Girls - Pixie Lott Bad Boys -Alexandra Burke Evacuate the Dancefloor - Cascada But for me, it would be a couple of songs from someone not really on my radar before - Paolo Nutini "Candy" and "Pencil Full of Lead" are original, quirky and particularly the second one - great fun. Kev
