Norfolk DJ 0
I have seen these. A retro type appearance, but I quite like the all in one unit effect.
Teez 0
Yes, I have a set. I also bought them at that price on Ebay. It says on his page that he has hundreds of them so I think he overbought. I bought them because they were cheap and fancied the experiment. I'm happy with them as long as you use them as a 'stocking filler' and not main lights. Brightness is OK for small gigs. There are numerous sequence settings controlled by a dial and these can either be set to a predetermined speed or there is a setting for sound activation. They're a bit short to stand vertically next to speakers (I think they're about 40cm ish?) if they're on the floor and don't really have a logical place to go anywhere else in my setup. I've used them at small gigs as backlights behind me, pointing them out towards the crowd laid out on the floor. I also use them for small pub gigs where there's no benefit in big lights and no expectation of any fancy show. I used them at a Northern Soul night this weekend and the retro effect was just right. The best bit is no bulbs, no heat and hardly any electricity so they can get bunged onto any old extension. The two units are connected by about 3M of thick black/flat telephone type wire with LAN connectors (!!!???) so not sure how long those clips will last but I'm sure it would be easy to replace. It's the old fashioned felt lined wooden boxes so they're quite heavy but clip well together with the bulbs pointing inwards. Now if they brought out a 12 or 16 light option for a few more quid then it would be well worth it. Hope that helps. Teez :tree:
