vokf 0
Hi Guys! Are you working Christmas Eve? If so, where? I'm at my local Pub. 200yds away I'm planning an early set-up, probably lunchtime, and will play a short set for the lunchtime crowd. (before I nip out to Panic buy at my local Tescos...) Evening gig is 8:30-1am, and I'll leave the gear in storage to be collected on Christmas lunchtime. The set-up is always tricky, as the stage area is split by a support beam (its an old pub). I'm never 100% happy with the set-up as I'm either behind a speaker, or behind a beam! Carmen is working tomorrow (haha), so I've enlisted a local friend to help set-up. I wonder if he'll have a different take on where to put things (he used to be in a band, and is pretty bright with all things audio) Anyway, thats me! Once we've collected the gear, I think we're having a quiet christmas at home with no visitors until boxing day. :xmas: I hope you all have a good one!

MintyDave 0
Had 1 or 2 enquiries but they wouldnt pay the premium - besides that i promised myself and the family 2 weeks off and im sticking to it...........Bored Now - all the washing is done as is the shopping - even fixed the early morning central heating pipe rattle. Building work has ground to a halt due to the weather and at least my garden looks like everybody elses instead of a mud plane. Said i was bored! Teez 0
I'm doing a gig at my local pub. Could have made more elsewhere but combining work with pleasure on Xmas eve was a factor. I can leave the non-essential gear there too. The evening is a combination of dance, karaoke (probably mainly xmas songs) and some quizzes and games. The main game will be the now famous Ferrero Rocher eating challenge (I first saw it on Britain's Got Talent). I've bought a few trays of these chocs and the entrants will pay £3 a go to see how many they can eat in a minute. The world record is 7 by a guy on Danish TV. £1 will go towards paying for the chocs, the rest to charity. I can't believe how many people (especially guys) think it's a cinch and will gladly have a go. It's a novelty that won't last many years so grab it while it's still an unknown to many. Let me know if anyone else tries this. If I remember I'll try and video one or two of them. Have a good one Teez :tree:

deejaymitch 0
Not working tonight but I'm playing tomorrow night in my local football club's social club which is about 100yds from my house!!! I'm going to go down later today and get all my gear set up for tomorrow, so I might stay down for a drink or two. Just to be sociable you understand!!! Then working there tomorrow night, and in my residency on Saturday/Boxing night. I don't expect to be sober for either as I can guarantee I'll be bought drink all night in both, and the management will expect me to drink too. It's all part of the show (come on, it's Xmas). I may even perform in my Santa suit. (Anyone on my facebook will have seen how that goes!) Whatever you are all doing, Merry MiTCHmas one and all!!!
