Central South Dj Meeting

Heya guys,

 

A group of DJ's in the southcoast have recently set up a new association.

 

It is not to rival SEDA or any other group, it's purely for DJ's to get to meet each other and get to know each other. It's completely informal, drinks are usually flowing and it's a really relaxed place.

 

We recently had our first meeting (on Monday night) and it went really well. We have a fantastic music quiz, a demonstration of the Vestax mixer and some good connections were made :)

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 1st June, in Southampton.

 

It will be starting at 7pm ...ish.... the reason I say "ish" is because sometimes traffic or train problems can cause delays :)

 

At the next meeting, it will be myself hosting the quiz.... and I will also be demonstrating the wonderful software known as DJEvent Planner on the big screen.... We will hopefully be having a Q&A Skype call with the creator Troy Ackerman as well.

 

There will be prizes for the quiz (hopefully) and some other "treats" which I am still confirming

 

We also openly ask that if you have a piece of equipment or something you would like to share with the group that you think will be of interest... or perhaps you have something not many people have and would like to share your experience with us.... that you bring it along with you :)

Good call. I may be tempted although Weymouth to Southampton and back after work 11 hours at work on a Tuesday might be a bit of a tough one for me but it sounds as though it would be worth the effort.

Paul.... it was a laugh wasn't it :) This time I'm gonna have a few drinks so I apologise in advance if I slur through the quiz and presentation hehehe!

 

Slimboy.... Have to admit, that is some trek after a long day at work ... but I can assure you we do have a good time and it's nice to put faces to names and websites.

 

Also guys, don't forget we have got a National Completely Informal DJU Meet up... actually more a DJU p:cense:s up.... coming up in July.... July 18th to be precise..... for all us lovely DJU members :) hehe
