otronics 0
Hello. I have a nice AKG wireless microphone system. Sometimes, the range isn't quite enough on the transmitter so what would be great is if I can extend the antenna on the receiver. Is it simply a case of buying a BNC cable (the receiver has BNC connections on the back), plugging it in and then plugging the antenna on the end of the cable. The receiver is rack-mounted so would be great if I can do it this way. If I can just put an extension on, is there any specific type of BNC extension cable I need? What about loss down the cable, any issue here with lengths? Thanks - it's one of those things I don't know too well.
