what are the cheap hotels like Johnno? apart from err cheap..are they some ones near to the areas you mentioned?

 

 

If the date is confirmed sooner rather than later, it looks like Travelodge is dirt cheap for now at £19...

Travelodge looks a great deal :) --- And if people want to bring partners/wives/husbands then go for it.

 

 

I had a chat with ETAP to see if they could do anything on price , but they said no... worth a shot!

 

I'm currently reading reviews on the curry houses... to work out where is good and not so...

 

 

But I was thinking of a rough plan as this :

 

Midday - Meet up in a local weatherspoons pub... chat introduce chat....

 

About 2pm - (If we can arrange it) head over to HTFR

 

About 4pm/5pm - Starting thinking food! :)

We can then sit and chat and chilax

 

and the drinkies after that :) - after all it's my birthday! hehe

 

 

 

I'm defo going to book a hotel room... depending on which date we decide upon.

There is a Travel lodge in the town centre whicg is minuetes away from the nightlife there is also a jury's inn which is very popular with friends of mine who visit

 

And not sure about anywhere on broad street that do karaoke m8 lol im thinking of the top of my shiny head now with whats there

Flairs on broad street is fab and for a fairly ish young guy me ................................. is 30 classed as young anymore lol

 

actually i think the only places to stay away from are the big clubs which play the heavy dance hopuse music

Never been to Flairs but as it's a Mitchells and Butlers theme club it should be good. We can slag the DJ off lol

 

Might be worth ringing or PMing Dukesy as the £19 won't stay long.

 

Alex if you;re talking to the hotel it might be worth picking the most central and the one with the most vacancies as I can imagine quite a few internet bookings as soon as you give the green light. For that price, I shall probably stay in town too. Would be good if we all book the same hotel.

 

It would be good to get as many people as possible, but frankly even if there's only a few of us we can still have a good exchange.

Theres a Reflex in Broad Street too, but that might be a bit of a "busmans holiday" for some of us ;o)

 

There are 2 nice "all you can eat" buffet restaurants in Broad Street too - Jimmy Spices and Round the World in 80 dishes, right next door to the pubs etc. Both do Indian, chinese, thai, mexican etc.

I have been in reflex on broad street loads of times and always been a good night.

 

I have also been to Round the world in 80 dishes which it pretty good i like cause im a greedy git and eat loads

 

Cant comment on Jimmy Spices but i know people who say its better than Around the word in 80 dishes

Yes, and we should all turn up in white shirts and bow ties. Making sure also that we bring along our own headphones!!

 

Seriously though, lots of business cards and indeed a great networking opportunity. We should definitely be at one big table, name badges with real names, forum handles and region and have a small list of important topics and Minty you must come and take some pics.
