vokf 0
(Topic moved to Techie Talk area) What you do need to do? You can't share a USB HDD if this is your plan. If you want to use the Cortex with a USB HDD and the HDMix with a USB HDD, you'll need 2 separate drives. This is probably a good thing anyway, as you'll then have a dual redundant system that will ensure you can carry on the party when one drive eventually fails. Hope this helps, Jason
Robster 0
I have found the Cortex needs the latest update from there site and also join there forum there is loads of help. I found a powered USB hub worked better for me and that files worked better if they were CBR 320 kBs tagged correctly and all MP3 gained and tempo tagged then put through there PC software for the data base and beat visualizations. the hard drives need to be FAT formatted also i use a powered Hard drive with its own power supply. Preparing the files properly is essential from my experience. Software i used I used dB power converter for the bit rate conversion Mp3 gain for the gain BPM pro scan for the tempo and mp3 tag tools for the tagging I bought one but never used it , i have it at hope as back up just in case.
