Currently on a break with the kids, but back tomorrow for a lads 10th party. 2hrs only, but lad wants smoke and bubbles, and venue is fine with that (heat detector, not smoke)

Probably then recovering from holiday excesses. Lol

Called down to a local Social Club last night to discuss a new residency, ended up rolling out the door in the early hours of this morning after being plied with drink and sausage rolls all night. Goodness knows what I've agreed to. :D

Doing a double stint in the venue I have my Saturday night residency this weekend. The Friday resident is injured so I'm covering his night tonight and then I'm back there tomorrow. No moving gear around this weekend!!!

Country House wedding for me on Saturday in South Norfolk

I think we have our must play song for the weekend then, Blur - Country House!!!

I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. Including club residencies, karaoke, pub quizzes, specialised wedding service, Master of Ceremonies, Compere, Night at the Races and much more.

Definately playing that!

Good luck with the 10 hour - £60 a night new residency. I hope the sausage rolls were fresh out of the oven.

Last night was an 18th Birthday at a huge house in the country. Their outbuilding/covered in swimming pool was bigger than my house, absolutely incredible. There was a band on as well and they went down so well in the second half of the evening I was hardly on so it was quite an easy night.

Karaoke at a friends house on Sunday afternoon.

I played Country House last night in what turned into a glorified 90s night. Someone randomly came up to me and asked if I could play anything from 1997, which turned into an hour of tracks from 1997 (mainly Now 34) and various other random 90s tracks. I have to say I loved it.

And yes Dave, fresh out of the (microwave) oven :D

My Dj career just gets better and better. i have a very stupid grin on my face which i expect to last a day or two

to start with i have played less than 4 hours of music over my last 2 gigs (not including vdj on autopilot for bg music) and the climax tonight was i have just sat throught 1.5 hours of live entertainment in the form of

1 classical pianist doing a little french number for the birthday girl

1 piano playing uncle doing various renditions of popular songs (moon river was 1)

1 serious poet

1 funny poet (good old yorksha style - lot of 'by ek lad')

1 comic (good old yorksha style again - lots of 'by ek lad again')

The birthday Girl singing to uncle playing some random classical tune

and Richmonds answer to the von trapps in the form of dad, mum and daughter singing various self penned tunes and acoustic covers.

I sat on my butt from 6.45 with vdj on autopilot then my finger on a mic channel slider to just gone 11pm and managed to squeeze in a few oldies before everybody left (was originally booked to 11 but did and hour for free)

I like these short sets as you can rattle out your top drawer tunes and eveybody thinks you are a hero.

Nice!

Cant wait for next friday......thats going to be even better :D
