For me i think i have the funniest weekend coming that have ever had

Friday - Im doing a friends wedding and charging my usual fee of a crate of John Smiths. The funny thing is that i start at 7, there is an old time dance band playing two 45 minute slots and i have to play 5 songs before the B&G leave at 9.30pm. Yes 5 songs and 9.30pm. They are off straight to the airport and have said after we go you lot can do what you want, pack up and gown down town for all we care.

I think it may turn into an open mic night as there are a lot of muso's going

Satrurday - its the one iv'e been waiting for.............a fancy dress 80's theme night

I have my big old 'choose life' t shirt and my kajagoogoo wig. It shold be a good one. Im sure i will have a pic or two to post at some point

Have a good weekend my fellow insomniacs.

Song to play has to be Kajagoogoo - too shy!

No gigs this week. Probably out on the town Friday, and then watching the football on Saturday.

Need to check/purchase tracks for a wedding at the end of June...

Also... our adjoining neighbour moved out last weekend, so I can play some tunes at a nice level :-)

"Too Shy"... Top Tune!

And... they're still going;

On 16 March 2010, 'dPulse Recordings' release the Kajagoogoo track 'First Girl on Mars' as a part of The 'Who Made Your Music?' benefit CD, released to raise funds for, and bring awareness to the rights of marginalized women. The album will be made available on Compact Disc and digital download format.[10]

Double stinit at my residency again, sounds like the friday night DJ has quite a bad injury so I may be covering his Friday as well as doing my Saturday for a few weeks. Not great money (his slot pays less than mine, which isn't huge to start with) but I hadn't much in the diary this month anyway, and it's a fairly easy gig.

I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. Including club residencies, karaoke, pub quizzes, specialised wedding service, Master of Ceremonies, Compere, Night at the Races and much more.

Friday I'm at Sheffield University Auditorium hosting a Glee Karaoke Themed Singalong...11.30pm til 2am as part of their Summer Social event. Their are 5 other options for the punters all doing a different style DJ so could be busy or quiet depending on Students preference. Just play it by ear...

Saturday i'm at a Disco Karaoke for a 50th for a family member...trust them to pick a night England play their opening match v USA...Have to take my TV instead of my monitor to watch while I play....

C'mon England

Sunday i'm down to Cornwall for a well deserved break...No painting, Fixing or other tasks involved....just relaxation and Footie

Have a good weekend fellow Entertainers

Kind Regards

Friday - Bar residency

Im here now. Its a party bar - Im under instruction to play up to date music at a decent level to get people dancing. Little old woman came over and asked me to "turn the bass down" as it's "reverberating" through her. She was sat next to the only bass bin which I was running at 12 o'clock, the bar is large as well.

Instead of causing an argument I turned it down a tad, as it was still early. She went away happpy. A large drunk Scottish woman stormed over telling me to turn it up NOW because "I can hardly f-ing hear it". Lovely. This overweight lady then approached me a further 9 times with demands for songs 'next'.

Its going to be a long night....

Saturday - Bar cover gig

Sunday - Bar residency.
