MintyDave 0 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 Busy weekend for me Friday Night - Ladies Night at my Regular venue Saturday - Army Family Day Party 6-12.30 (time to dust off the spare DJ) Saturday - Small wedding do 7.30-12 The wedding playlist came through last week (may take a while to read) First Dance - Rod Stewart + Jenifer Hudson - Let it be me Play what you like after that with a bit of Motown/Soul and Disco What a playlist eh! Song to play is a hard one - Motley Crue - Girls Girls Girls. I am doing a ladies night afterall What have you got on? Although at the moment I am away in t he caravan.......coming home to do it will be a bit of a wrench, weather is toooooo nice. The oldest swinger in town....... probably. Again, I'm following the awesome Magician, who is a tough act to follow with a disco. Last year I think I had about 3-4 people up dancing in total.. This year there might be 4-5 I guess! This year I'm taking my PA too, as its cheaper to hire me with PA than to pay separately for their technician at the same time. Also with previous experience their in-house stage monitor system buzzed the entire day and was quite off-putting, (and it sounded quite poor too). Nice small show and an 1130 finish. Bride and Grooms First Dance - Flashdance - Irene Cara fully rehearsed dance. Second Dance - It Had to Be You - Harry Connick Jr. The B&G have paid up front as the DJ they had booked broke his leg this morning, they even paid a late booking fee.
