Not as often as I would like.

Up until 5 years ago when I was footloose and fancy free I would go on holiday in January for 4 weeks.

A long weekend in April then a week at the beginning of November.

But Now I am married again we are lucky if we get a crafty week :damn: due to the arrangements for the Children and who is having who at which time etc. We are from what I can gather the average disfunctional family.

Usually a week in august with the family and 1 weekend in september for just me and the Mrs

not enough but the ongoing building work, the day jobs and the discos make it very hard to find the time.

am going to retire early though to make up for it........hopefully

Normally twice a year, so far had a fortnight in Florida back in April and plan another week or two in November ...not sure where yet.

I also have a caravan which is useful for odd days away, great for relaxing after a few gigs.

The oldest swinger in town....... probably. Happy Easter.. well I have seen easter eggs in the shops

Had a week in Norfolk this year, well I say a week we went on the Sunday as we had three gigs on the Saturday and came back on the Thursday as we had two gigs on the Friday and three gigs on the Saturday.

Its mad but you cant turn the work down when it comes in.. The joys of being self employed...

Up to now I haven't had a holiday since I've been a DJ. I've only had 2 Saturday nights off in the last 6 years, one was due to severe illness and one was unplanned (sacked from my Saturday night residency in the early hours of Saturday morning).

However now, to make life bearable, things are about to change. I will be having at least 3 trips to watch Liverpool at home this season with my local supporters' club, flying out of Friday night and returning on Sunday night (yes - full weekends off!!!).

And, more importantly, I'm fulfilling a life-long dream next April when I'm going to Memphis and will finally get to visit Graceland. I can't wait.

When I was a full-time DJ, as Nik says, I just couldn't turn down the work that was offered. Now, as a part-timer, I can finally have some weekends off!!!!

Not had a holiday in so long! :(

And have recently got engaged, to all funds are now saving towards a wedding, so no holidays planned for a while.

However, I do tend to do bit of work abroad throughout the year, which does have its advantages :msn-wink:

Don't say that so loud, Carol will hear! :fright:

That's her dream, too, with a side serving of Nashville and New Orleans. All that great music and "soul food".

You want me to play what?

The last real holiday I had was 4 years ago. A week in Whitby. Love that place!

Apart from a few days away for gigs (either me doing them or me going to them) I've been stuck up here in the North East :'(

Going on holiday to Iceland in December for 4 days though. Which reminds me I need to get my passport sorted lol.
