Raymilkybarkid 0
Not as often as I would like. Up until 5 years ago when I was footloose and fancy free I would go on holiday in January for 4 weeks. A long weekend in April then a week at the beginning of November. But Now I am married again we are lucky if we get a crafty week :damn: due to the arrangements for the Children and who is having who at which time etc. We are from what I can gather the average disfunctional family. I also have a caravan which is useful for odd days away, great for relaxing after a few gigs. The oldest swinger in town....... probably. Happy Easter.. well I have seen easter eggs in the shops
UKHero 0
Had a week in Norfolk this year, well I say a week we went on the Sunday as we had three gigs on the Saturday and came back on the Thursday as we had two gigs on the Friday and three gigs on the Saturday. Its mad but you cant turn the work down when it comes in.. The joys of being self employed... Nik Niks Roadshow
deejaymitch 0
Up to now I haven't had a holiday since I've been a DJ. I've only had 2 Saturday nights off in the last 6 years, one was due to severe illness and one was unplanned (sacked from my Saturday night residency in the early hours of Saturday morning). However now, to make life bearable, things are about to change. I will be having at least 3 trips to watch Liverpool at home this season with my local supporters' club, flying out of Friday night and returning on Sunday night (yes - full weekends off!!!). And, more importantly, I'm fulfilling a life-long dream next April when I'm going to Memphis and will finally get to visit Graceland. I can't wait. When I was a full-time DJ, as Nik says, I just couldn't turn down the work that was offered. Now, as a part-timer, I can finally have some weekends off!!!! And have recently got engaged, to all funds are now saving towards a wedding, so no holidays planned for a while.
