Saturday 14th - something different from the normal weddings etc - a public Gay Party

Should be a great night. I know most of the anthems but if you have any suggestions they're always welcome.

Nothing this weekend - but will be picking up a pair of Datamoons tomorrow, and will be rewiring some 1.5m DMX cables as polarity swappers.... *dammit*

Also, will be programming some cues /sequences for the new lights, running through the Motown and lists and probably buying in some Beach Boys because I have only about 2 tracks...

So basically a weekend of servicing, cleaning, fixing and err other stuff... (oh that reminds me, need to buy a 4-way IEC cable too)..

I might even stretch to a haircut...

Cheers,

David

Enjoying a quiet weekend - no gigs. Last week was busy due to borrowing a van..

May be getting my Van tomorrow, so will be broke... however, may have a bit of non DJ work Saturday that will pay.

Possibly working on the new website- I added code to scrape the BBC Top40 Charts, and now need to cache the data to avoid repeated calls to their site. Also want to style the output a bit.

I got the headers sortable last night, so click "Weeks in Chart" to see how long "Lady Gaga: Alejandro" has been in the Top 40.

Also click the Artist to see what releases the artists have - currently 5 artists have 2 tracks in the top 40...

Truely hope to have the van back, they found 2 injectors that failed a leak-back test. The other 2 are ok.

This is being fixed now, and hopefully have the van back tomorrow, with a bill of £600+ to pay. :damn: :damn:

Otherwise, may be checking a playlist for tracks for a wedding in early Sept.

Oh... photo from last weeks wedding;

Hope y'all have a good weekend!

Jas

Residency tonight then off to my little sister's wedding tomorrow where she has booked a 3-piece swing band that also provide a DJ/disco service afterwards. Should be interesting.

I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. Including club residencies, karaoke, pub quizzes, specialised wedding service, Master of Ceremonies, Compere, Night at the Races and much more.

Normally work at my residency on a Friday night but last night one of my close mates from New York was doing a gig in Huddersfield and it's his birthday today so thought we'd go and surprise him.

I got the night off my residency - got a fellow DJ mate to cover me - and we made the trek from Northumberland to Marsdon in Hudderfield armed with birthday presents and cake (He's on tour pretty much constantly 10 out of 12 months so we always try to look after him when we see him lol)

The plan was to go down, watch the band, come home.

We got there about 6pm and had a few jars and gave him his presents before the band hit the stage. Between sets he was trying to convince us to stay over but unfortunately we had to get back to take the dog to the groomers this morning - crap excuse I know lol but she was in terrible need of a trim!!

Anyway, him and his bassist and promoter convinced us that we should go see them again tonight, so we're off down to Hull soon!

I know it makes no sense to come all the way back from Hudderfield to go all the way down to Hull, but there would have been noone in for the dog anyway!

Actually, I've just looked at his website and he's playing Kingston upon Hull, I've no idea if that's Hull, or somewhere completely different! I'm sure we'll find out!

Anyone free tonight in Kingston upon Hull, who likes their rock, should head to The Springhead to see Adam Bomb, one of the best guitarists you'll ever have the pleasure of seeing.

After tonight that'll be me all partied out, and I'll be back to my residency.
