Recommended Posts

Nope me neither.

I tried running the mp3 from the youtube clip through Gracenote but the results it came back with were for a country and western track lol.

Sorry, tried my best :)

Thanks for trying !!

It sounds like a 70's era sound track similar to Isaac Hayes Shaft(1971), Van McCoy's The Hustle(1975) and also similar to Soul City Walking by Archie Bell & The Drells (1975)

Other than that can't help much

Kind Regards

No idea what the track is. Sometimes these things can be written as Film or TV music and never get commercially released

I'd echo the above question also, as to how you came across it and what it was used on?.

You may also like to use the following service / software. I've not used it myself, and suspect that it will only query popular music and commercial releases but still worth a try?

Hi,

I've tried tunatic / shazam.

The 30 seconds are taken from a bootleg vinyl 'disco mixer' called Broadway 2, released in 1981, that I rediscovered some time ago in my vinyl collection.

I've identified all the tracks (see my review on discogs.com) except for this one.

The dj used popular but also less known U.S. and European disco/funk tracks. I doubt that this particular track was an instrumental track for TV or movies (porn or other).

I've tried lots of forums, watzatsong.com, music quiz forums, etc...

Thanks again for your feedback, guys !

I'm thinking Donna Summer here. Sounds like an instrumental from say "Heaven Knows" or "This time i know it's for real"

Hi,

Thanks for replying.

I'll check those out.
