bluejools 0
Certain songs that have a first line that just stick with you........an opening, a name that tune.....Normally only just related to the song. The line that gives you time to turn up the radio....... Personal faves - The Air attack warning sounds like - this is the sound (FGTH - Two Tribes) This is Radio Freedom (KLF - 3AM Eternal) God (Madge - Like a Prayer) Have to say - they all seem spoken.....and i am showing my age here :-) Anyone got ones that set them going ? fester 0
In line with the 'spoken' intro i've got a bit of a guilty pleasure to admit. Showing my age but this was a massive tune when I used to go clubbing in the late 80's Cut, cut, cut tell me somethin' You can play a bass You can play a drum (Double Trouble & Rebel MC - Street tuff) Craig Dance Sounds Disco http://www.discosheffield.co.uk
RevelationDisco 0
That's just got to be your theme tune  Heheh, I wish I could get to play it more often! Now this one does get me going! Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family, Choose a f. big television Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of f. fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing sprit-crushing ga me shows Stuffing f. junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing you last in a miserable home Nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, f.-up brats You have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life.
funkymook 0
The opening words to Ian Dury's Plaistow Patricia (I won't quote) always stick in my mind, especially as I accidently played it on a busy Saturday afternoon when I worked in a High Street store's record department! http://www.indieretrodj.com http://www.souldisco.co.uk
