vokf 0
hi all i have a wedding and 38th birthday at the same place on the same night. gonna be interesting any one got any tips please thanks in advance dd :wall: I assume you are not personally covering BOTH, so simply focus on your gig! Its not clear what you consider to be a problem? The main technical problem could be wireless mics, so if you use them, be prepared to change channels or use a wired mic (or ideally liaise with the other DJ) Jason
Derek Paul 0
Hi Double D Is this one event, a Combined Wedding/Birthday or are you doing one after another? Edited February 19, 2011 by Derek Paul Derek Tarpey Lake DJ California www.LakeDJ.Com
barry 0
:bloodyhell: Go for it mate just relax ask all involved for a play list then work from there. If you are doing both partys together in one and not one after the other i would think you will be fine as long as its not an early start and a late finish. you may need some help. Any way just have fun and let us know how it goes. Barry.
Derek Paul 0
Barry's right, I always ask for a "Play List" and a "Don't Play" List. Not a complete list, just a few titles in each category to give me an idea of the style required. Then take requests on the night. double d 0
cheers guys, just to clarify it is a wedding and birthday at the same venue at the same time, so 1 party. spoke to the bride and groom and all they want is their 1st dance song played by "david pomeranz" then just whatever, not too much of a problem until the groom says well i like slipnot so if you can squeeze a bit in that would be great???????????? 38th birthday is easy, my style of music, 90's club music, PERFECT ! not so much a problem just wondered if anyone had any ideas ????? im really not sure what to put here ........maybe i wont put anything............
