have spent an hour or more in my local dj store today and saw a fantastic new light. Its called a Lanta Neptune 18 wash and what a light it is. Its a high power led wash moving head (18x3w tri colour leds)

the current youtube videos just dont do this fixture justice and hopefully we will see more soon. normal moving heads have a very small lense which produces sharp beams where as this creates a wide angle wash but still with a definable spot

IMO it takes the standard led par can wash concept to the next level and could be the ideal fixture for venues where haze is banned

price - £225 each

I have never heard of Lanta until today and see that they are churing out a lot of cheap products simular to a lot of gear thats already on the market. Flightcase wharehouse are making cases to fit so i suppose there must be a market for lanta fixtures.

i think the shop will be doing his usual high quality informative video soon, better than my £30 nokia phone. i only saw 1 in action but could easily imagine 2 would look great on a normal mobile setup

Always the risk when buying a new product - you always end up paying a premium price as the manufacturer recoups the R&D costs, its much better to be patient and wait 9 - 12 months or so, when design costs have been covered and prices are tumbling as competition is increasing, and they are about £99 each :joe:
