Hello mate, welcome t'forum

As long as the peaveys have the original drivers in then they are fine. I used peavey gear (hisys) for a while and had no complaints other than the weight.

they have a reputation to be power hungary so make sure you have a decent amp to drive them.

if you get chance let us know what other gear you run and the type of thing you do. Oh and the reason why you post but cant see it straight way is a moderator thing, until you get a few under your belt.

all the best

dave

Dpends on how many people you're wanting to provide sound for. If you're wanting to use them to provide sound for 200 people then no, they're not gonna be good enough in my opinion (if you want decent spl output), but if you're wanting to use them in your house for house parties then they will be good enough. When I heard them I wasn't impressed really. The SP118 would be a better choice to be honest.

Used the speakers last night at a 30th Birthday party, played to close on a 100 people id say and they sounded amazing, to be honest they kicked like a mule and i got compliments on just how good the sound was by the client at the end of the night,i agree they wouldnt be good for a big venue but anything upto 150 people id say they could handle it quite easily ;-)

i have a pair of the UL15's and i love them

youve got to remember, they arent there to create gut wrenching bass, they are there to take the strain off the top cabs

i have a UL115 + UL12 setup and its plenty loud enough and plenty of bass!

Also these are comfortably loud enough for events with 200 people, remember you dont want the whole room rocking, just the dancefloor area (and you arent going to have 200 people dancing!)
