globeworker 0
Hi, I have been running a mobile disco, starting 2 years ago. Starting off with kids birthday parties, then a few family functions and charity discos in my local village hall. I have now been asked to a wedding disco. should I start off with older songs working up to more modern day? reason for this thinking is older generation stay for a short while at weddings and leave early. And younger stay to the end. Also any tips on top tunes that go down at weddings and any other tips that I could use Cheers DJ Mac (Chris)
McCardle 1
Do a search using the forum search facility for 'Wedding Playlist', you'll get lots of threads with suggestions for the classic stuff. Another good tip prior to the reception, is to ask the Bridge and Groom, for a request list, featuring not only their first dance information, but also songs which they want playing during the course of the evening. In my experience, they generally go and ask immediate family and friends for their suggestions too, so you end up with quite a broad selection of requests. Also have some request slips, professionally printed and before anybody arrives, leave a few on tables, at the bar etc on the evening, so guests can also make their requests on the night.
