Hi and Welcome to DJU http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/beer.gif

Hope that you'll visit and post often, and enjoy your time here. Perhaps encourage your Dad to join as well http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/smile.gif - then you'll be the 4th Father & Son team here!.

As for meeting people - we have a pub crawl planned for next week in the North, and talk of one later in the year for Southern Members - so if you are 18+ and any of these are local to you, then why no come along to one of them!.

This forum is a great place to meet other D.J's and pass on work, make new friends, share experience etc, I'm sure that you'll find something of interest here.

Welcome, welcome, welcome...(thats one "welcome" for each Denon DN~S5000 that you own! and a big welcome to you too, of course...

Ive got a pair of 5000s, a 9000, a 2600 already and the new mixer arriving soon, so let me know if there's anything that you need to know.

Enjoy the forum...

Well, the 9000 is obviously rack mount, rather than "tabletop", but doesnt have a big motorised platter.

The 9000 does have some studio effects onboard though. So as well as the "Brake", "Drag start", "Dump" and "Reverse", youve also got delay, flange, 2xfilters (nice!) and 2 x auto~transformer effects; all BPM linked and adjustable.
