3rd Generation Discos 0
When compressing audio files does anyone use this format. I must admit that with some of my latest cd rips im tending to use it, just becasue the file sise is so small and beacuse the quality is sooo good. Tell me what you use. mp3,mp3pro or ogg <a href="http://www.djassociates.org"><img src="http://www.djassociates.org/anims/compres_banner.gif" alt="Join the DJ Associates Disc Jockey Association" border="0" width="468" height="60"></a>
scotty 0
I mainly use mp3 but ive got a few ogg on my linux machine basically because red hat 8 shipped with no mp3 support due to, quote from their site: 'patent licensing and conflicts between such patent licenses and the licenses of application source code' - although you can get around this by way of a pluggin http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif Imagine if an M$ os shipped without mp3 support now that would cause mayhem ! Leeroy F 0
QUOTE (scotty @ May 1 2003, 08:52 PM)Imagine if an M$ os shipped without mp3 support now that would cause mayhem ! you dont want to be going round sayin' that. M$ will pick up on it and we would all be screwed. But as u say there is always a plugin somewhere which will do the job.

mobile_dj_crooks 0
USE MP3's w/ at least 192 kbs rating, or .wav files 3G <font color="#008000">laterzzzzz </font> <font color="#0000ff">DJ_CROOKS </font> mobile_dj_crooks@hotmail.com <marquee behavior="alternate"><font color="#008080">Heh, I was a moderator :S</marquee>
The Spindoctor 0
Mut admit I only use MP3's with as high quality as available which with pre release stuff can be quite low but hey once its released you can always replace it!
mikeee 0
if you have an MP3 with a 128 rate, covert to WAV, tart it up in cool edit, and you won't really notice the difference. ..playing all the hits for you... ....whether you may be.... Why can't I see what i going on???
