grogan197 0
I got all my equipment done last week by PlugCheck PAT Testing I spent a while looking and they had the lowest minimum call out that I could find that covered Birmingham. Cost £30 and I had 17 things tested for that. If anyone knows anyone cheaper please let me know for next year!

I still think the best bet is to just dig out the Yellow Pages or the local free paper and ring around a few sparkies, there are loads of them and its not really that difficult to find one who is a victim of the credit crunch and needs all of the work as they can get, even the bits of jobs like ours. Negotiate a rate for an hours labour, and often it isn't a lot different than the £30 quoted above, with the advantage that an hour buys you a lot of tested equipment.
