The Feeling Knackered Bank Holiday Thread

Recommended Posts

Okay, the Forum has had its usual weekend slump, so I'm guessing that we've all been out, entertaining the masses and earning lots of dosh for the Taxman! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif

So what have you been upto, and how did it go??.

Saturday Night - I was at our usual fortnightly venue - the residency at the local club. Quite a good atmosphere, and quite busy considering a lot of people are on holiday.

Tonight, saw our monthly crew meeting to discuss May's bookings, followed by a trip to the pub, followed by a curry, followed by a DVD (I can recommend "One Hour Photo" with Robin Williams, its Weird but gets you thinking!). Now I'm off to bed!.

I do hate this when you feel 'obliged' to tell the truth!! Ok so Friday I took it easy cos i was still suffering from alcohol. Saturday I actually went back to the pub I worked at Thursday to buy the barstaff a drink for putting up with my inebriated, last out the pub, I'm p****d who gives a f:cense:K mentality. Then Sunday night was back to work as normal!

Actually the girls (barstaff) said I was highly amusing and the presentation was fabulous if very slurred!

Hello everybody http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/042.gif

Steady weekend with two weddings Sat night & two Sunday night

One was at a Stately home where American bride did not want any flashing lights whatsoever and the Dj must not speak.

We get this from time to time

They have had some sort of bad experience with a so called personality DJ in the past

We put a Latino band in for the reception.Bit of a toffs do.. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/dry.gif

My gig Sat was a busy wedding 200 at one of my regular hotels

Busy dance floor but a 1am finish instead of 12mn booked I find on arrival http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/nono.gif

Sorted that out with an extra £2.35 http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

God I wished we worked in London http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Did run em into the ground by 12 md but then they got their second breath .. Dratt my plan for an early finished failed again http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/fear.gif

Did another two wedding gigs this Sunday evening and they went fine

I never like Sunday gigs normally people tend to drift off too early because of work but we were ok tonite with the band hols http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Actually did a karaoke spot tonite on my not kit for some of the grooms uni mates http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

I have a karaoke capability but I try to avoid it at all costs too many drunks who can't sing.

Thats my news

Does'nt anybody sleep on these forums

Interesting Jeff.

Do you mean the first wedding they didnt get off their arses.I thought I was the only one who had those.

As for the Americans-I wouldnt have got the gig.John cougar mellancamp or the eagles Who do they think you are ;the owner of HMV.Or are you!!

It never ceases to surprise me at the range of artists, tracks that some of you take on gigs. Mikeee sent me a copy of his library not long ago.A lot of tracks were duplicated but it still amounted to a hell of a lot of tracks.

This is not a rehearsal

This is it - grab it while you can.

Yes, spot on. Nothing to be concerned about. The Soundlab have a PSU which has a large metal plate screwed to the case - just heatsinking for the regs.
