For anybody using mp3's that does not have a DJ program that calculates them for you, those nice people at mixmeister are very kindly giving a free beat counter at http://www.mixmeister.com/bpmdownload.htm

 

Just tell it which folder to work on and let it churn away. It even updates the ID3 tags for you automatically. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

How reliable is this mate? would save me a lot of tapping.

I haven't checked it's accuracy by checking it's results against say a manual count of the bpm on a particular track. But I would think that because it's from mixmeister it would be accurate.

 

I did 3K files in about 1hour. I forgot to mention it will also print out or export the results for you as well.

I rechecked some of the stuff I had manually bpm'd, it come up trumps, saves me the annoying taps.
