O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei

Recommended Posts

Anybody Playing this?. I know it's been knocking around for a while, and I can't understand a word of it, but it's cheesy and catchy in a weird kind of way!. Oh it's also gone top 10 in the Charts as well!.

There is the Romainian version of it, but there is also supposed to be another version of it by an Italian Band called Haiducii, anybody heard this other version?.

The o-zone one is huge all over europe but the haiducii one is in fact the original. o-zone version is more punchy but i must admit its dire and bugging us in scandinavia like cha cha slide bugged you guys http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/wallbash.gif

I will try anything,once!

Yeah, I helped a fellow DJ a few weeks ago do a gig in Cambridge for foreign college students and they went mad for it!, especially the Italian lot.

We had about 5 requests for it in one night! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/fear.gif

It is quite catchy though, if not a little cheesey!

Also, when I went on holiday to Italy a couple of weeks ago, I think I heard it quite a few times. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Wouldnt say its awful, but takes a little mouth full if trying to sing with the song. So I thought for some mad reason I would put them on here for you guys to look at !!

======================================

Alo, salut, sunt eu, un haiduc,

Si te rog, iubirea mea, primeste fericirea.

Alo, alo, sunt eu Picasso,

Ti-am dat beep, si sunt voinic,

Dar sa stii nu-ti cer nimic.

Vrei sa pleci dar nu ma, nu ma iei,

Nu ma, nu ma iei, nu ma, nu ma, nu ma iei.

Chipul tau si dragostea din tei,

Mi-amintesc de ochii tai.

Te sun, sa-ti spun, ce simt acum,

Alo, iubirea mea, sunt eu, fericirea.

Alo, alo, sunt iarasi eu, Picasso,

Ti-am dat beep, si sunt voinic,

Dar sa stii nu-ti cer nimic.

and for the english translation :

Ma-ia-hii

Ma-ia-huu

Ma-ia-hoo

Ma-ia-haa

Hello, it's me, a haiduc

And I pray, my love, embrace the happiness

Hello, hello, it's me - Picasso!

I gave you beep, and i'm neat

But know that I'm not asking you anything.

You want to go, but you don't take me, no

You don't take me, no, you don't take me noo..

Your face and the love under the linden trees

Remind me of your eyes.

I'm calling you, to say, what I'm feeling now

Hello, my love, it's me - happiness!

Hello, hello, it's me again, Picasso,

I gave you a beep, and I'm neat

But know that I'm not asking you anything.

Ma-ia-hii

Ma-ia-huu

Ma-ia-hoo

Ma-ia-haa

NOW you lot all know what the song is about lol !

I love it, and I know it's a massive hit in Europe.  I believe it's a combination of languages.  I'm still waiting for translations from the various languages from several people...

Dont really agree with that but lets just say that i teased kray for months about having to play cha cha slide when i didnt, i think he got off light compared with what i have had with this song. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
