Find this statement a little confusing as you have said in an earlier post that you dont really belong in any one country but called yourself a european ?So which country are you referring to?what sub culture do you belong to ?

If this webmaster turns out to be a lone parent supporting two kids with some part time webwork, will you all be happy?

I would think that denon would be as it has nothing to do with personal circumstances it is about doing a job well and what gives this person the right to expose anyone to foul language. Do you tip the waiter double because he is poor ? or do you pay the bus driver extra because he supports a sick mother? Of course you dont because you dont know and it has nothing to do with whether he can do his job or not.

Wow! patience is a wonderful thing, isnt it?

Well it would be, if there was any being displayed here.

Ive already advised above that I'll be contacting the appropriate person in the nexr few days. My idea would be that some warning text along the lines of "parental guidance advised" or "Caution: audio contains expliciti lyrics...initially." etc.

Wow!!

I didn't think this would cause such an uproar.

I by no means wanted to get people sacked.

All my post was meant to be that a multi-national company was using "choice" language to advertise.

Gary thanks for all the effort you are going to.This thread was no way a dig at you.

Something witty goes here..

Hugmaster, for the record, as I have said before, my country is Ireland, that's where my passport is issued. I have, as have many people here, learned that the baggage associated that identity is not wholly positive, and many of us identify as being European. Most Irish people, as do most British people..have mixed heritage, let's be proud of that and celebrate that.

My subculture is European Catholic, even though I am atheist. In most majority Catholic background countries bare bottoms are extremely offensive. This applies to Italy as much as Ireland, although in Britain and Northern Germany etc, they seem to be more of a slapstick thing. Different strokes for different folks.

Frequently I do tip people in low paid jobs if I feel they are in that position through life chances rather than laziness, for the record. Frequently if I feel offended by the actions of a worker, I try to allow for their background. I try to believe that most people are not out to offend me and are doing the best they can. If that is not good enough then it is more likely to be that the industry economics don't allow for skilled people to be employed, or that the employer is too mean to pay for skilled labour. It is seldom the workers' fault.

If Denon are reading this thread, I would sincerely like to record that my opinion of Denon is mixed. I feel they engineer good machines, but that previously their construction and distribution let them down.

However, if you allow your child to surf the net, then you must be prepared for them to come across material that is adult in nature. The DJ industry is not an industry for children, Denon sites are not meant to be Walt Disney sites. I feel Denon have done no wrong, in this instance.

It was me ,not hugmaster who asked the questions and thanks for your answers.I respect what you say but dont really agree in everything you say but hey that doesnt matter. Would just like to say that djing is very much for kids and that most of us here started as kids,in fact our dj company has just hired a fantastic young dj who works in clubs and he is 16. i am not saying that denon have commited a major sin but i do believe that they should have a parent advisory label so people have a choice. I also do wonder a bit about you saying you allow for peoples backgrounds as how on earth can you know the life situation of a normal working man who you meet only briefly? Cookiecat you have caused no uproar just a debate that i personaly have not seen as being anything other than that. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
