DJJ 0
I've been waiting for what seems like ages to make a post, but for some reason I've been having problems accessing the forum via NTL - I kept getting DNS errors... but now I'm back! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif As C.S. has said, we have a difference of opinion - that's normal human behaviour. I'll no doubt work with this band again and despite advising them of what they can and can't do, I can see the same situation arising again. If their actions cause a problem with the in-house equipment, then the band will no doubt be vistied by the Operations Manager and the Bride and Groom, both wanting to know why the night is brought to a halt. What some people seem to forget is that I did not lose my temper with the band. If you read what I'd said, then it would look like I'd hit the roof. However, if you'd been in the room and seen how I reacted, I may have slagged off the band, however if you were able to see the way I gestured to both the crowd and the band you will have realised that I was having a laugh and lightening the atmosphere of the crowd. Reading the quotes of what I'd said could give you one impression or another. There was no annimosity displayed to the band and they all said goodnight in a polite way. There was certainly no fisty-cuffs or handbags at ten paces. However, I don't know why this band have a parting gesture of opening the fire doors! In no way did I go shouting my mouth off. Reading my quotes, it could look like this, but this was not how it was put across to the crowd and the band. DJJ P.S. - Thanks for clarifying the misunderstanding regarding my other post. See - it's difficult to understand who is making a comment and who it is aimed at when you only see text. As it was not aimed at me, please accept my apologies, Paula. Now is that an example of me eating humble pie - see, I can do things like that http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
