paula 0
QUOTE believe you me, being a girly in this business is double hard and I am all for getting more females out on the road! There's already quite a lot of females dj'in that I've seen or know in this area as well as further a field, I dont really think it's that much of a prob nowadays, I think that where the lady's started Karaoke this introduced them into dj'in, QUOTE I know how hard it was for me to get into this business and fought an uphill battle with the "men" Differences again here, I was dragged kicking & screaming into this business http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif & still have the title of oh thats **** daughter. I dont think I can say I've had any real problems with other male dj's, the odd snide remark from the guy's who sell equipment, disc's etc. nothing I cant handle http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/sterb188.gif But probaly more from the male guests at party's, What a female dj? I think they just say that to get talking to you http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif But appart from that, there's loads of good points of being a female dj, loads of free drinks, help unloading, and your never short of an offer for a night out. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/071.gif

Yes there are more of us out there these days and about time too!! It will be interesting to find out how many ladys stay in the business for a long time though... the two others I know of gave up as soon as they got preggers!
