calfy 0
After all this debate the easiest answer is to use both. I own 1200's and play more vinyl than c.d.'s but when I play out the club I used to play at every weekend had c.d. mixers which I use in my sets as there is some really good underground and unreleased stuff that I get on c.d. way before I can get the **** on vinyl. But I would get c.d. mixers to start out now as it would be cheaper to get the tunes than starting a vinyl collection now and we all can't get enough new tunes!
Gary 0
Calfy....WELL DONE.... So many club DJ's take the attitute of "Vinyl forever" and wont even consider CD's, or the incredible things that todays CD-decks can do. You're part of the club DJ's future...You'll be up and running with ease hot starting, splicing, looping, and Key Adjusting, while the ol' die hard vinyl traditionalists are scratching (or should that be turntablisting) their heads in a few years time, wandering what the CUE button or LOOP button does... (Vauxhall) Viva la revolution.... Edited May 14, 2003 by Gary
Guest dj-darlo
I started on CD £200 for sum cheap mixers, speakers, headphones and mic. Only use them in bedroom though but good for practicing with, I'm hoping to get vinyl when I get some money together though.
