Disco Man Productions 4. How long have you been DJ'ing? 12 years 5. What inspired you to become a DJ? was a roadie for a mobile DJ and decided i wanted to get paid more and carry less 6. What type of "Do" was your first gig? student union club night 7. How much did you charge £100 8. What equipment did you have to begin with? lots of tunes and head phones 9. Whats the worst/most embarassing thing you've done in front of an audience? there have been many times i have made mistakes, but i did manage to take the wrong needle off a record while paying too much attention to a nice young lady. 10. What is your favourite type of function now? EG: Wedding, 18th Birthday party, etc? I love my club nights only becuase there is less gear to carry, but all my nights i like 11. Is there anything that you include in your show now, that you wish you'd done/known when you started? (Not equipment, but in human/performer terms) I learn more every time i do a gig, which I hope makes the next show better 12. What do you feel you offer your public, that makes you a better DJ than "the next guy/girl"? an open mind 13. Have you ever bought something for your show that you wish you hadnt? and why many things , most of them are CD's 14. Whats your next DJ purchase likely to be? new light effect 15. If you could get someone to invent a new piece of disco equipment for your show, what would it be? a beer chiller in the form of a record box 16. What do you think is the best thing about DJ'ing? music and people 17. What do you think is the worst thing about DJ'ing? the music people request 18. What would make you stop DJ'ing (if anything)? war/act of god or my own death 19. How do you think DJ'ing will change, in the next 5 years? there will be fewer DJs 20. Most stupid thing anyone's ever said to you at a gig? while I was mixing house music in a famous london club (the type of venue where the dj does not do requests) i was asked by young lady from the USA if i would play some rock or some spice girls 21. Best advice you were ever given by a fellow DJ? duck ! (the bottle missed by about an inch) 22. And worst advice you were ever given? chat the blond up so i can get to know her mate 23.
