hi everyone let me rack your brains im doing an australian theme night quite soon so of course the music has to be there i could only think of two tunes, rolf harris and men at work any others would do lovely. thinking caps on regards john http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wallbash.gif

Has the task of Austrailian themed games/stunts etc fallen to you too? Or is it just non-stop Aussie music all night (Dont fogether "Holy Grail" by Hunters & Gatherers.)

Pin the tail on the Kangaroo (blindfold)

Any jumping (like a kangaroo) game

Austrialian Quiz questions: How high can a kanga jump? How tall Sydney opera house? What body of water is Sydney opera house adjacent to?. What year did "Neighbours" debut in the UK?, what instrument (which required power) did Rolf Harris promote in the 70's...etc..etc...

You are good at this stuff Gary. The kangaroo hopping game sounds like it could be used all night - every time the DJ shouts "Kangaroo!" the last person to jump up and down has to buy everyone a drink!

My party is for a guy emigrating so it will be Aussie references only - there won't be any Australians present so the music, following the buffet, will be the usual party stuff.

They haven't asked for games but the guy leaving is captain of his golf club so I expect they won't mind seeing him make a fool of himself! I may even get him dressed up as Dame Edna!

Occasions like this do give us the chance to play some weird and wonderful stuff though - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds with Kylie is a great song but when would I ever play it? Similarly INXS. Loads of fantastic tunes that rarely venture out the CD case. The chance to play Rolf all night is what swung me though!

Classic! You've got some great opportunities there...

With the use of just one office chair, and the right theme tune music....you've got:

"Know the country you're going to: Mastermind"....

Who's the president of the country you're moving to?

Whats the aussie equivilant of Motorways?

Describe two poisonous spiders found in cities in Oz?

Name two popular Ozzy football teams?

Include a couple of action questions eg:

A well known way of defending yourself from a Kangaroo is to jump higher than it can - The kangaroo will take this as meaning that you are the dominant male and will leave you alone. Show us your best jump! (dont let him point to that young blonde in the audience)

etc

etc

How weird is this - I've just taken a booking for another Australian emigration party! That's two Oz themed parties in the space of seven days!
