Tonsk 0
Had Friday night off which was nice. Saturday did a local oil companys xmas bash. I started (with a quiz whilst they were eating) then a comedian and them me till close. Quiz went well - but the comedian wasnt the best... He tried, bless him and had a couple of funny jokes, but the majority were just pants... Whilst he was on, marked the quiz and when he had finished, handed out the prize and had them dancing from the first track till the last... Ended up a good night.. Sunday did a local Holiday Parks staff party - I always think these will go better than they do.. Hard work for a group of people who are into entertaining, but then I certainly wouldnt wanna DJ at DJu MAX.. I didnt think the night was very good, but the organiser kept thanking me saying she had had a great time so hopefully... Roll on next week! NiM 0
I had my annual Mencap Party on Saturday. First freebie of the year. Went really well - They danced from the first song, right through to the last one, tried out some ACME Falcons that I had got for the event and was really impressed with them. I think I had as much fun as everyone else.. Roll on next years party!. Other than that, I've taken a month off.. Not accepted any bookings this month, first one is middle of feb I think.. Which will be nice.. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/smile.gif NiM

OK KARAOKE 1
Have taken no more work till February as I`m going into hospital this Thursday for a biopsy (don`t need to spell out what that`s looking for). However, I had already taken a gig as a vocal/guitarist for the following Thursday (20th) and can`t really get out of it. I just hope I`m up to it physically and mentally. I have to admit i`m more than a bit worried but Hell, my missus had cancer and got over it so what the **** http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Tonsk 0
QUOTE I`m going into hospital this Thursday for a biopsy (don`t need to spell out what that`s looking for). Sorry to hear this OKK - Keep positive! I was diagnosed with Hodgekins Disease (cancer of the lymph system) when I was 22 and the thing that got me through it was thinking "So what?" - If something bads gonna happen, it will - have the treatment and other than that, there is nothing you can do about it. Once accepted, it gets a whole lot easier.... I'm now 30 (31 next week) and have to go for yearly checkups, but I dont let it ruin my life or worry me in the slightest... Dont let it win... Good luck! and good luck with the gig!! The Right Music - based in Norwich and covering all Norfolk and Suffolk

OK KARAOKE 1
@ Tonsk - thanks for that m8 - you`ve done me a power of good. Thanks all for the good wishes (and the ones via PM), but now let`s get back to the topic of the thread - what do you all have lined up?? I have two in Feb and one in May so far, but I`ve just bought a new Fender Strat guitar and a Spirit FX8 mixer and I`m gonna work them hard later in the year.
