Paul Smith 0
5 votes - 5 different choices. I went for the Db Tech as weight was also a major factor influencing my choice. PaulS
FDDJ 0
The Alto's took my vote as I have just bought them and think for price to quality ratio they are hard to beat http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/thumbup.gif "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin <a href="http://www.djassociates.org"><img src="http://www.djassociates.org/anims/compres_banner.gif" alt="Join the DJ Associates Disc Jockey Association" border="0" width="468" height="60"></a>
DJ Marky Marc 0
I've just seen the trade prices on the FBT's 4's and 5's and nothing beats them for the money right now...... <a href="http://www.djassociates.org"><img src="http://www.djassociates.org/anims/compres_banner.gif" alt="Join the DJ Associates Disc Jockey Association" border="0" width="468" height="60"></a>
FDDJ 0
QUOTE (DJ Marky Marc @ Feb 23 2005, 04:13 PM)I've just seen the trade prices on the FBT's 4's and 5's and nothing beats them for the money right now...... I don't know what the trade price is on the FBT's, but I had a nose around on the web and found them for £600 each (the 4's), which are the same spec as the Alto's. I got a pair of Alto's for £600 http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif They really sound better than £600 and I auditioned them against LEM D400's & FBT's. Mind you I am skint so I wouldn't have been able to buy the FBT's anyway...... http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/blush.gif "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin <a href="http://www.djassociates.org"><img src="http://www.djassociates.org/anims/compres_banner.gif" alt="Join the DJ Associates Disc Jockey Association" border="0" width="468" height="60"></a>

bluejools 0
QUOTE (Chris_Pointon @ Feb 23 2005, 09:29 PM) Fine with me Marc, if you are happy to share the information. Marc..... please post the price...... do you know how long they are holding it for... small wife related "spending cash on pointless things" problem........ I have to admit being swayed by the more relative cheapness of the Alto's... and they are receiving as much positive feedback as the mackie's. Chris http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Chris http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif Chris... are you a supplier up for hassling ??????????????? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/whistling.gif

brianmole 0
Must admit, if I were looking for active speakers, I would probably invest in an HK Projector system http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/drool.gif Mind you, it is overkill for the average wedding
