SPEAKERS & AMPS AGAIN

Recommended Posts

You guys proably getting fed up with me keep asking similar questions all the time but still trying to get my head around things and make sure i get right equipment at the right price.

Anybody got any views on the KT1000W Pro Warrior Amp ??

&

350W MCGREGOR SPEAKERS. (i think thats the RMS of each but trying to get confirmed) there navy blue carpet version if that helps anyone.

I have roughly £400 to spend on a amp and speakers to give me enough power to cover must functions I am likely to get.

Not expecting to be playing MEN ARENA anytime soon so dont need to got OTT with sound system just want something to give me enough power if needed.

Also if playing a smaller venue are you damaging set up if not using fully ie amp only 1/2 way (not sure if i read you are somewher or Im just dreaming It)

Hardest thing to sort out feel when have visited local disco shops they are trying to sell you more than you need to gain more money out of you !!!

Thanks DANNY

If you're looking for a good solid amp to run those speakers then go for a Behringer EP2500 2 x 450w @ 8ohms / 2 x 750w @ 4ohms.

They go for about £200 and i'd say they're one of the best budget amps of that size out there. Not as heavy as the Audiohead/C-Mark/T.amp equivalents either.

A friend had the Warrior XS2500 which he used for over a year on a free party sound system which got worked hard outdoors and in, and he liked it a lot. For that sort of money you can't really complain as there's very little you'll pick up instead

I tend to panic with Amps. I have only ever used a Peavey Amp, or in the past Ecler Amps. Currently I have a PV-1200 ( older style ) and PV-1500.

Warrior are well spoke of though from other DJ's.

HI Guys

Thanks for all your help and advice on this I have now bitten the bullet and purchased the warrior KT1000 Amp

Heavy but in great condition only been used 4 times !!!!

And the Mcgregor 350Watt Speakers with a nice navy carpet which matches nicley with my purpose built navy deck stand.

So i am now in a postion to do more than pubs gigs whooo !!

Now to get advertising as in a new area and have no old regular clients to call on.

Have about 5 bookings for the year so far from word of mouth and people viewing website.

Is it worth hitting the local hotels with letters etc.. or emailing them or contacting them directly ???
