Just have to say thank you to Djsounds, who took up the Saturday 18th birthday we couldn't do. Mary gave him a great report, saying he played a good mix of classic and new tracks and was very professional. She particularly mentioned that he asked if he should finish on time or keep going for a while as everybody was dancing. We always check with her before finishing and she likes to keep going if the crowd is good and behaving.

Well done, mate. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif
That crowd can be very critical of djs who don't come up to standard and you obviously won them over.

Thanks for the kind comments Robbie & we’re glad Mary & her punters enjoyed it.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when we first arrived to be greeted by a drunken Irish man trying to be a little too helpful, he kept trying to get in the back of the van to help carry equipment for us.

As the evening progressed my father went up to the bar to get a couple of drinks, & he saw a very impressive human fountain, as someone laughed with a mouth full of beer at the antics on the floor during the Macarena as I speeded it up.

We certainly enjoyed the evening, the only drawback was the journey home, as usual Blackwall tunnel was closed again so we followed the A10 all the way down to London Bridge. (Didn’t expect that much traffic at 1am)

Thanks again for passing this job on through the forum. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thanks.gif

Forgot to warn you about how they do like to help carry gear. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/oops.gif

As for your drunken irish man, if he had awooly hat and day-glo yellow coat, it was Sid. If a short chap with a flat cap, Jerry. Should have told you about them all. Best helpers are always Steve or Mick.

As for the trip home, we have often done it in reverse, and, yes, the tunnel is usually http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/censored2.gif closed! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wallbash.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wallbash.gif

You want me to play what?
