Hi, I would appreciate any comments from anyone who's seen / heard / used any SR Technology equipment - especially their speakers.

I've just bought a pair of the Live 350's, (the passive 4 Ohm version) after being offered a fantastic deal (trade plus VAT!) http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

I compared them with several others of a similar size (Yamaha, Wharfdale, Peavey included) and the bottom end sounded much fuller and richer - almost as if a sub had been added.

The only 'but', is that I've never heard of them before and would like, hopefully(!) to be told that buying them was a wise move? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hide.gif

The fuller and richer sound could be attributable to the fact that they're 4ohm cabs and they're getting a significant chunk more power than your previous boxes. Nice to see that they're using ply rather than mdf for the cabs - much more durable in a mobile environment and only slightly worse sonically. Lighter too.

Can't make out the drivers, look like a Fane type chassis but you never know who's copying what these days. Only way to tell for sure would be to pop one of the woofers out and see what it is. Of course, with all these things, if it sounds better then it is better regardless of the badge on it. Only other factor is reliability really (oh, and some street cred too!!)
