Gary 0
Oh What? So, you've just agreed to play a no.1 from 1960 for that old bloke on Table 6, and now someone else from the same table is up, asking you for "any one" of the above, from 1961? Votes away chaps, (and Chap'esses) http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif
brianmole 0
Do you run quizzes or something? How many people ask for something- even a no1 from a specific year? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/tongue.gif Looks like another duff year to me, although I have had the following rarely requested: Elvis Presley: Are You Lonesome Tonight
robbiedj 0
Rather depends on the punter. Most are slowish tracks. If they are dancers they like Tillotson/ Shannon/ Everly Bros. If they are listeners then Marcels or John Leyton. (I hate him, saw him last year and he looks just the same now!) http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wallbash.gif You want me to play what? Gary 0
Often on birthdays or anniversaries etc I get people asking for me to play something good from the year that this, or that happened. EG: something good from the year when they met, or from the year they got married etc. Edited April 22, 2005 by Gary

robbiedj 0
QUOTE (Gary @ Apr 22 2005, 05:39 PM) Often on birthdays or anniversaries etc I get people asking for me to play something good from the year that this, or that happened. EG: something good from the year when they met, or from the year they got married etc. That's why I carry a Guinness Book of Hit Records with me. It tells me what was number one on the date in question and, if I have it, I play it. I always try to play the number on for birthdays, or if pre-'53, for their 21st. You want me to play what? Dj_Kray 0
Again i have never been asked for many of these but Del Shannon: Runaway would have to be the most popular. I have the mastermix no1s collection which is handy as they are all in date order so you can find you what was no1 the week somebody was born.
