Dj's United

White Hart, Mile End, London

Recommended Posts

Just played in The White Hart at Mile End.

Function room is quite small, only needed small amp and lights as anything else would have over-powered the place. It would have been better without the covered snooker table stuck in the corner.

Main problems:

  • The room is on first floor with a very steep staircase.
  • There is no proper access. To get to door for function room I had to actually park on the pavement and unload. Apparently that's what "the other dj" did too. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbdown.gif
  • Parking is a nightmare. It is right on the corner of Cambridge Heath Road and Whitechapel Road with double yellows everywhere. There is a "parking "side to the adjacent access road, BUT it was totally full as there are flats and cafe/bars along it. I had to park miles away. I wasn't very happy about not being able to see the car at all, as I was a bit worried about the area. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif
  • It might have been a blessing in disguise not parking close as there was a big fight outside at closing time downstairs. Blue lights everywhere. Had to keep punters dancing late to be sure it was clear before they left.
The staff were quite friendly and helpful and the landlady appreciated our stopping the party from meeting up with the fight.

You want me to play what?

I used to DJ in Mile End, but it was in a bikers pub. Funnily enough parking & fights wern't an issue
