Well, well, well, time for 1968's No.1s to come under the professional ears of DJU members.

Mary Hopkins held topped the charts (or was it The Hit Parade back then?) for a lengthy 6 weeks, with "Those were the days", knocking The Beatles: Hey Jude off the top spot, after only 2 weeks. Several artists notched up 4 weeks at No.1, including, Louis Armstrong: What a wonderful world, Union Gap feat. Gary Puckett: Young Girl, The Scaffold: Lili the pink and the Hugo Montenegro Orchestra with the theme from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/221.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wacko.gif

Attaining only 3 weeks in the top spot, were Esther & Abi Ofarim: Cinderella Rockafella, Tommy James and The Shondells: Mony Mony, and without even a hint of UB40 or Pat O'Bantom, The Equals: "Baby Come Back".

But, vote now for the No.1 of your choice.
