MadGutts 0
I have just bought 2 packs of XM1800s microphones from Behringer. I bought them for karaoke and instrument use, and low and behold - they are realy very good! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/boff.gif I was pleasently supprised in these mics, the only downside is that they dont come with leads, but that is no real problem. They do come however with a sturdy plastic case and mic holders complete with stand adaptors. I can highly recomend these for Karaoke, or instuments, or even as a backup for your road kit! Performance: The quality for karaoke beats any cheap mic. It is not quite as good as a branded mic (Shure or Senhiesser) but they are far better than any i have bought before for a simular price. Build Quality: Fantastic. They are (like most mics) all metal constuction with replaceable shield. With heavy use, i can see the case hinge probrably wont last as long as the mics. Cost: Depending on your supplier these are available from about £20 and if you have a trade account, then probrably less. The RRP is about £30. Overall: A good quality mic with a multitude of uses. I give them 9/10 only because there are no leads supplied. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/cool.gif The only UK number 1 record to contain in its lyrics the title of the song which knocked it off number 1 was... spirito 0
I too have a set of three of these, they are very good mics sound and build wise, but i do wonder how long the on/off switches will last they feel a little flimsy. Apart from that good all round mics DJ James Lake & The Shokwaves Roadshow
Kingy 0
I too have a set of these. Use them on the PA rig as emergency stand-by mics for extra people etc. I can find no fault in these, for the price they out perform everything in that bracket. True, they are no SM58, but for £7 each....well! I have opened mine up and bypassed the switch as non of my PA mics have switches. Genuine bargain! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/goodjob.gif
Jimbo55 0
Bought a set of these as back up. I switched them with my Shures during a particulary 'energetic' evening. No one noticed. They are ok, they require the eq to be adjusted to make them crisp. I always either bypass the switch or sleeve the mic body with shrink tube. I like to be able to switch the mics on and off at the desk. Cable and mics are colour coded. Including my radio mics. Jimbo Digital Fusion Entertainments Bose L1 system user. voodoo123uk 0
Got to agree with the rest, good mics, they sound alot more expensive than they are, ideal in those situations where the mic might get damaged or stolen

furnivalents 0
I also use these Mics for our Hire stuff. They get used and abused day in day out and seem really reliable and sound wise are really good. Great for Micing up instruments and really stand up to the abuse of hireing them for rock nights etc.
